To secure your booking at FANGYUAN CENTRE, we require a deposit of either 25% of the total cost or the equivalent of 2 weeks of training, whichever is lower. This deposit is non-refundable. However, you do have the option to modify your booking at least 30 days before your planned arrival. Please note that any amendments are subject to availability and approval. Our Tai Chi and Qigong programs offer a comprehensive and immersive experience, so securing your spot with this deposit is essential to ensure you receive personalized training from our highly skilled Chinese master.
What are the costs involved in the training programs?

The cost of training programs at FANGYUAN CENTRE is influenced by three main factors: the type of training, the type of room, and the length of stay. We offer both basic and advanced training forms, and accommodations are available in either premium or superior rooms. For example, a week of basic training in a premium room is priced at $1099, while a week of advanced training in a superior room costs $1699. Once you initiate your booking request, you will be able to see the prices for the specific combination of training, room type, and duration of your stay. This ensures you have a clear understanding of the total cost based on your personalized preferences.
What is the payment deadline for my stay?

Approximately 45 days before your scheduled arrival date at FANGYUAN CENTRE, you will receive an email containing a secure payment link. It is essential that you promptly follow the instructions provided to complete this initial step. To avoid any inconvenience or potential cancellation of your reservation, please ensure that you pay the balance of your booking 30 days prior to your arrival date. Can I book a group stay at FangYuan TaiChi Centre?

At FangYuan TaiChi Centre, we specialize in providing a serene and personalized experience, which means we are unable to accommodate large groups or big corporate retreats. Our facility is designed to ensure tranquillity and individual attention. You can, however, book a few rooms for a smaller group up to 12 people that can share rooms with a companion. For your convenience, these options are available in our online booking form. This setup allows us to maintain the peaceful environment that our guests value while still offering flexible lodging arrangements for smaller parties.
How do I confirm my booking?

After receiving your deposit for the Tai Chi retreat at FANGYUAN CENTRE, we will confirm your booking within 24 hours with all necessary details. Once confirmed, arrange your travel and visa, checking local consulate requirements. Our support team is available for assistance.

Is transfer to and from FANGYUAN CENTRE included?

Your inbound transfer from Jieyang airport or Chaoshan train station is included in the price of the retreat package at FANGYUAN CENTRE. This means once you arrive at either Jieyang airport or Chaoshan train station, you won't need to worry about any additional transportation fees to reach our centre. Once you are at FANGYUAN CENTRE, we will assist you in arranging your return transfer, ensuring a smooth and stress-free travel experience. Can I book room only stay at FANGYUAN CENTRE?

At FANGYUAN CENTRE, we offer all-inclusive Tai Chi and Qigong retreats in the heart of China, designed to provide personalized training and cultural immersion. It is important to note that our center is not a hotel; therefore, every booking must include a training program. All our programs are structured to run from Saturday to Saturday. If you wish to stay for a period outside of our standard one-week program, we can accommodate a stay of 10 days, but you will be required to book a full 7-day training program and the remaining 3 days can be dedicated to training only. This policy ensures that all our guests fully engage with the comprehensive Tai Chi and Qigong training experience. What are the different types of accommodation available?

These rooms feature essential amenities, ensuring you have a restful environment to recharge after a day of training and cultural immersion. 2. **Superior Room:** For those seeking a more indulgent experience, our Superior rooms offer a spacious 32 square meters with additional luxuries. What should guests wear during training sessions?

At FANGYUAN CENTRE, every guest will receive one complimentary Tai Chi outfit upon arrival. Guests are expected to wear their provided Tai Chi outfit during all training sessions to maintain uniformity and respect the traditions of Tai Chi practice. Additionally, there is an option to purchase extra Tai Chi outfits and specialized Tai Chi shoes at the center for those who may need them. Please note that wearing shorts and t-shirts is strictly prohibited during training sessions to ensure that everyone adheres to the proper attire standards. What are the age requirements for participating in Tai Chi training?

What are available training programs at the Centre?

FANGYUAN CENTRE offers QiGong and Tai Chi training for all levels, including beginner, advanced, and teacher training. We can create custom programs to match individual goals, whether for short-term intensive training or long-term immersion, accommodating all schedules and preferences.
How long are the programs, and what dates are available?

We offer beginner programs from one week to six months. We recommend at least two weeks for QiGong and four weeks for Tai Chi. Our personalized training and cultural immersion guarantee an enriching experience.
What happens if my flight is delayed or cancelled?

If your flight is delayed or cancelled, please inform us as soon as possible so we can adjust your transfer arrangements accordingly. Do not worry if you arrive late at the FANGYUAN CENTRE. We specifically start all our programs on Saturday, allowing an extra day on Sunday to accommodate any delays and let our guests recover from jet lag. This ensures that you can smoothly transition into the routine and make the most out of your Tai Chi and Qigong experience.
What documents do I need for the visa application?

To obtain a tourist visa for attending a retreat at FANGYUAN CENTRE, you will generally need the following documents: 1. A passport that is valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay. 2. A recent passport-sized photograph. 3. Confirmation of your stay at FANGYUAN CENTRE, which should be provided by the Centre upon booking. 4. A confirmed return ticket, which can be either a flight or train ticket. Please note that there might be additional specific documents required based on your country of residence. It is advisable to check with your local consulate to ensure you have all the necessary documentation for a smooth visa application process.
Can you arrange a transfer from the airport or train station?

Every stay at FangYuan includes an inbound transfer, either from Jieyang Airport or Chaoshan Station. You'll receive an email with detailed instructions on where to meet your driver 4 weeks before your arrival date. During your stay at the Centre, you can arrange your return transfer to the airport or train station with us, so you don't have to worry about those details just yet. We offer travel assistance to accommodate your individual travel plans, whether you're arriving directly from the airport or have other destinations before or after your stay at FangYuan TaiChi Centre.
How to get to the Centre?

You can fly directly to Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport (SWA). The airport offers a number of domestic flights, and Spring airlines also provide international connections to destinations such as Bangkok and Singapore. Alternatively you can fly to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) or Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX) and then continue your journey by train. The nearest major high-speed rail station is Chaoshan Station, with frequent and direct connections to: Shenzhen North: 1 hour 40 minutes Shenzhen: 1 hour 55 minutes Hong Kong (West Kowloon): 2 hours 25 minutes Actual travel time will depend on the specific service you choose. Can you help me with the visa application process?

While we cannot apply for the visa on your behalf, we can provide comprehensive support by supplying you with all necessary information and booking confirmations required for your application. You will need to complete the visa application online and cover the associated costs yourself. Do I need a visa to enter China?

To attend a Tai Chi retreat at FANGYUAN CENTRE in China, you will need to legally enter the country. Currently, some countries are allowed to enter China visa-free for 15 or 30 days. If you are a citizen of one of these countries and wish to stay longer than the permitted period, we can arrange a weekend trip to Hong Kong, which is a convenient 2-hour train ride away. After the trip, you can re-enter China. If your country is not exempt from requiring a visa to enter China, you will need to apply for an appropriate visa before your travel. We recommend checking with your local Chinese consulate or embassy for the most current visa requirements and guidelines. What type of visa should I apply for?

To attend the Tai Chi retreat at FANGYUAN CENTRE, you should apply for a standard tourist visa. This visa is appropriate as it allows you to stay at the Centre and also enjoy sightseeing in China. Please note that since FANGYUAN CENTRE is not categorized as a school, a student visa is not required or applicable. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free entry into the country for your enriching Tai Chi and cultural immersion experience.
Can I bring a friend or family member who is not participating in the program?

Yes, you can bring a friend or family member who is not participating in the Tai Chi program to FANGYUAN CENTRE. If you wish to share your room with someone who is not interested in training, we can accommodate that. The additional fee for a companion is 50% of the program cost. This option allows you to enjoy the retreat and cultural immersion with your loved ones, even if they do not wish to participate in the training sessions.
